Short Information :-Union Public Service Commission Combined Defence Service Exam II Second Recruitment 2024. Those candidates who are interested in this UPSC CDS Second 2024 Examination can apply online from 15 May 2024 to 04 June 2024. UPSC- COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (II), 2024

The UPSC released EXAMINATION NOTICE NO. 11 /2024.CDS- II that is COMBINED DEFENCE SERVICES EXAMINATION (II), 2024 on 15 May, 2024 . The application for the examination has started and the last date for submission of application is 4 June, 2024 till 6.00 PM.

Total Number of vacancies are 459. This is Great big opportunity for Young minds who want to serve country through defence forces of India that is Indian Army, Navy and Air Forces. In this article we will share details regarding the CDS EXAM 2024

Examination Fees:-

For General and OBC : 200 Rs.
For SC, ST and Women candidate: 00 Rs ( Exempted )
Payment of Fee can be made using online Net Banking, UPI, Debit Card , Credit Card.
Those who want to pay by Cash can Pay in State Bank of India. Pay By Cash method will be available upto 3 June,2024.

Who can Apply CDS-2 , 2024 Exam – Eligibility Criteria

The candidate who want apply for CDS 2024 must fulfils the criteria set by UPSC for Defence Recruitment. The detailed Eligibility criteria given as follow :

Marital Status : A Candidate must be Unmarried
Nationality : A candidate must be Citizen of India and Regarding subject of Nepal / Bhutan or a Tibetan refugee who had been migrated to India before January 01, 1962, with the intention of Permanent Settle, or An individual of Indian Origin who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire & Vietnam for permanent settle purpose in India.
Age Limit : The age Limit is different for Different service and Academy please check this carefully below and then apply
For Indian Military Academy— Male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 2001 and not later than 1st July, 2006 only are eligible.
For Indian Naval Academy— Male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 2001 and not later than 1st July, 2006 only are eligible.
For Air Force Academy— Candidate born not earlier than 2nd July, 2001 and not later than 1st July, 2005

(Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot License issued by DGCA (India) is relax able up to 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd July, 1999 and not later than 1st July, 2005 only are eligible

CDS – 2 Educational Qualification :

For I.M.A. and Officers’ Training Academy– The candidate must posses Graduation Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.
For Indian Naval Academy– The candidate must posses their Graduation in Engineering from a recognized University/Institution.
For Air Force Academy– The candidate must posses Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or a Bachelor of Engineering.

Examination and Personality Test:

Written Examination:

There will be Multiple-Choice Questions in each paper. The question paper for General Knowledge and Elementary Mathematics will be set in two languages that is HINDI and ENGLISH. There will be a penalty of 1/3 marks for a wrong answer.

For Admission to Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy:— The subject for examination are 1) English 2) GK 3) Elementary Maths each subject carry 100 marks and Time Duration for each subject paper is 2 Hours.
For Admission to Officers’ Training Academy :— For this only 2 subjects 1) English 2) GK each subject carry 100 marks and Time Duration 2 hours.
