UPSC- National Defence Academy and Neval Academy EXAMINATION (II), 2024

The UPSC released EXAMINATION NOTICE NO.10/2024-NDA II that is NATIONAL DEFENSE ACADEMY and NEVAL ACADEMY EXAMINATION (II), 2024 on 15 May, 2024 . The application for the examination has started and the last date for submission of application is 4 June, 2024 till 6.00 PM.

Total Number of vacancies are 404. This is big opportunity for Young minds who want to serve country through defence forces of India that is Indian Army, Navy and Air Forces. In this article we will share details regarding the UPSC NDA and NA Examination-2 ,2024.

Examination Fees

• For General and OBC : 100 Rs
• For SC, ST and Women candidate: 00 Rs ( Exempted ) There is no fee for SC,ST and Women Candidate please note that
• Payment of Fee can be made using online Net Banking, UPI, Debit Card , Credit Card.

Who can Apply NDA & NA , 2024 Exam – Eligibility Criteria

The candidate who want apply for NDA & NA Exam 2024 must fulfils the criteria set by UPSC for Defence Recruitment. The detailed Eligibility criteria given as follow :

• Marital Status : Must be Unmarried
• Nationality :

                       A candidate must be Citizen of India  and  Regarding subject of Nepal / Bhutan  or a Tibetan refugee who had been migrated to India before January 01, 1962, with the intention of Permanent Settle, or An individual of Indian Origin who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia, Zaire & Vietnam for permanent settle purpose in India.

• Age Limit for Candidate :                                                                                                                       Only unmarried male/female candidates born not earlier than 2 January, 2006 and not later than 1  January, 2009 are eligible.
•  NDA & NA Exam 2024 Educational Qualification :
• For Army Wing of National Defence Academy 12th Class pass of the 10+2  pattern of School Education or equivalent examination conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
• For Air Force and Naval Wings of National Defence Academy and for the 10+2 Cadet Entry Scheme at the Indian Naval Academy :—12th Class pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent conducted by a State Education Board or a University.
• Candidates who are appearing in the 12th Class under the 10+2 pattern of School Education or equivalent examination can also apply for this examination

Examination and Personality Test:

• Written Examination:

There will be Multiple-Choice Questions in each paper. The question paper  will be set in two languages that is HINDI and ENGLISH. There will be a penalty of 1/3 marks for a wrong answer.

• ALGEBRA
• MATRICES AND DETERMINANTS
• TRIGONOMETRY
• ANALYTICAL GEOMETRY OF TWO AND THREE DIMENSIONS
• DIFFERENTIAL CALCULUS
• INTEGRAL CALCULUS AND DIFFERENTIAL EQUATIONS
• VECTOR ALGEBRA
• STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY

1. General Ability Test:

• PART-A ENGLISH
• PART-B GENERAL KNOWELDGE – In General knowledge we have 6 Section as follow:-

1. SECTION- A   PHYSICS
2. SECTION- B   CHEMISTRY
3. SECTION- C   GENERAL SCIENCE
4. SECTION- D   HISTORY FREEDOM MOVEMENT
5. SECTION- E    GEOGRAPHY
6. SECTION- F    CURRENT EVENTS

• Interview/ Personality Test: 900 marks

The interview or personality test conducted by SSB (Service Selection Board) in two stage: –

Stage 1 :- Officer Intelligence Rating tests are Picture Perception Description Test

Stage 2 :-  Comprises of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, Psychology Tests and the Conference

Physical Standards:

Candidates must be physically fit according to physical standards for admission
to National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (II), 2024

NOTE:-   A candidate who has resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of
the training academies of Armed Forces is not eligible to apply.
